The Ponta Gazette began in 2022 and quickly became the trusted booklet for Ponta do Ouro, Ponta Malongane, and Santa Maria. Each edition brings together local businesses, great places to visit, and essential services that make Southern Mozambique worth exploring.

Now the Gazette has gone digital, giving businesses a platform to advertise online and stay visible all year round. Celebrating Mozambique’s First UNESCO World Heritage Site

Maputo National Park Joins the World’s Natural Treasures

In July 2025, Maputo National Park was officially inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, marking a historic moment for Mozambique. As part of a new 400,000-hectare transboundary reserve with South Africa’s iSimangaliso Wetland Park, the designation recognizes the park’s extraordinary biodiversity — from elephants to nesting sea turtles — while strengthening conservation, eco-tourism, and benefits for local communities.
